Joseph Cohen, MD Joseph B. Cohen, MD (Trauma)

Dr. Cohen received a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, IL.

Samia Ghaffar, MD Samia A. Ghaffar, MD (Spine)

Dr. Ghaffar received a medical degree from University of California, Irvine School of Medicine in 2011. She will complete her orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at University of California, SF-Fresno in Fresno, CA.

Lea Gunnell, MD Lea M. Gunnell, MD (Foot & Ankle)

Dr. Gunnell received a medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, NY in 2011. She will complete her orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in Grand Rapids, MI.

Daniel Hackett, MD Daniel J. Hackett, Jr., MD (Shoulder & Elbow)

Dr. Hackett received a medical degree from University of Alabama, Birmingham School of Medicine in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, GA.

Adam Hirschfeld, MD Adam G. Hirschfeld, MD (Trauma)

Dr. Hirschfeld received a medical degree from University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, OH in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, GA.

Christopher Johnson, MD Christopher N. Johnson, DO (Oncology)

Dr. Johnson received a medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at McLaren Macomb Health Care in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Farhan Karim, DO Farhan O. Karim, DO (Spine)

Dr. Karim received a medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at North Shore LIJ Health System in Plainview, NY.

Ian MacNiven, MBBCh, BAO Ian F. G. MacNiven, MBBCh, BAO (Shoulder & Elbow)

Dr. MacNiven received a medical degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in 2010. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2015, at Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, ON, Canada. He will complete a sports medicine fellowship in July 2016 at University of Toronto in Toronto, ON, Canada.

Brian Monier, MD Bryan C. Monier, MD (Foot & Ankle)

Dr. Monier received a medical degree from University of Texas, San Antonio School of Medicine in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. 

Kevin Murr, MD Kevin A. Murr, MD (Trauma)
Dr. Murr received a medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. 

Motasem Refaat, MD Motasem I. Refaat, MD (Trauma)

Dr. Refaat received a medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, IL in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at University of California at Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. 

Nicholas Romeo, MD Nicholas M. Romeo, DO (Trauma)

Dr. Romeo received a medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Wellspan York Hospital, both in York, PA. 

Matthew Thompson, MD Matthew J. Thompson, MD (Oncology)

Dr. Thompson received a medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, KS in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA. 

Brett Walker, DO Brett M. Walker, DO (Spine)

Dr. Walker received a medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI in 2011. He will complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI. 

Nicole Zappa, MD Nicole M. Zappa, DO, MHA (Foot & Ankle)

Dr. Zappa received a medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. She also received a Masters of Health Care Administration degree from Des Moines University College of Health Sciences in 2012.  She will complete her orthopaedic surgery residency in June 2016, at St. John Providence Health System in Detroit, MI.
